NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS
I have always loved shopping in craft and fabric stores.
For some reason, I was also drawn to sewing patterns. Around 20 years ago I purchased a Singer sewing machine. Then, about 10 years ago, I purchased a Brother serger and did absolutely nothing with either one of them.
Five years ago I enrolled in a sewing class at a community college and selected a Vogue blouse pattern for my project.
Of course I did not finish the blouse, and for the life of me I can't figure out what I spent my time doing that held me back.
TODAY, I'm a sewing fool!
It just came across me to get up and sew. I started making toss pillows, then I made a dress
(and to my surprise it came out cute!).
Then, I made a top.
Now I'm on a pillowcase roll!
So I've been busy sewing!
My guilty pleasure is seeing the outcome of my creations, and delving into the calm and relaxation that sewing brings. It’s such a wind-down.
If you come home from work fit-to-be-tied, and in a tizzy, try sewing to soothe your nerves.
