My Newest Vintage Sewing Machine
New Home Janome 106 Vintage Sewing Machine While on a weekly excursion at our local Goodwill store, I combed every aisle looking for sewing patterns. Just as I was about to go on about my business after not finding any patterns, I saw a sewing machine case. I went and grabbed a cart so I could easily remove the lid to check it out. It was extremely heavy, so I knew then that it was vintage. I opened the lid and discovered it was a New Home, now known as Janome sewing machine. I always like to test the power, and if the needle goes up and down. Then I make sure the bobbin case is in place, the needle, needle arm, and the plate is present. Everything checked out and this machine was priced at $14.99. OF COURSE I bought it. It sews so straight and smooth with little guidance by me. So that makes machine number (2 Pfaffs, 1 Montgomery Wards, 2 Sears Kenmore, 3 Singers, and 1 Temu little tiny machine) nine. Nine sewing machines, why?
